  1. yes

  2. No, they don't use gloves, they use hamburger meat!

  3. i think the bigger question is  "is it true McDonalds doesnt use real meat"?

  4. I worked at a McDonald's when I was younger and we wore gloves if we were going to come into contact with the food. The people on the register and serving you the food do not need to wear gloves since their hands will only be touching the box or wrap the food is in. The fly person doesn't have to wear gloves either because the fries are scooped into the box and doesn't come into contact with the person's hand. Rest assured that McDonald's have to pass many food inspections and have many mystery shoppers stopping by to check on how they are doing.

  5. All you have to do, is walk in and see for yoursrlf. The people working with food before it is wrapped, do. At least, the ones I go to.

  6. believe it or not alot of fast food places dont use gloves

    but they are supposed to

  7. yeah and they take a dump in your food

  8. they also don't wash their hands after using the bathroom before serving you.

  9. I don't think they do. Taco Bell doesn't, and I heard it's actually cleaner to use bare hands.. I don't see how because bacteria gets trapped underneath/around the nails, but if you wore gloves, how much of the restaurants profit goes to buy gloves? They would be switching them everytime they changed foods or whatever. Also, I don't think they really care too much, because if you eat the food they make, you "wouldn't care about your weight so why care about how its made" or something like that..

  10. no they don't whenever me and friends go there they aren't wearing gloves which is gross because im a little bit of a germaphobe. i don't eat food there they do.

  11. I live in the Dominican Republic, gloves are an unknown here.  I went to the Sushi place last time and the guy was touching everything including money w/ out any gloves.

    Bon Apetite.

  12. sad to say but its true.  And really I think they should have to wear gloves if there making the food and if they work there they need to wear  a hair net too.   We went to Arbys once and found a hair in my food and that did it for lunch, I wouldn't eat anything from that meal.

  13. It depends on the health department.

Every county has their own health department, and with the exception of a few basics every health department can make their own rules. Food safety has more to do with the county the particular store is located in than what the corporation does as a whole.

I've worked in three different McDonald's, all three in different counties and I also have food sanitation licenses in all three counties. In one you only had to wear gloves when preparing salads, and that's it. In the other you have to wear gloves while preparing salads and handling frozen or raw meat. In the third one you have to wear gloves anytime you come into contact with food, and that includes handling ice cream or french fries.

Every county health department has different rules.

  14. when i worked fast food (KFC delivery guy and Little caesars delivery) we helped a little in food prep. Back then gloves were not mandatory, i dont even know if they are now, but you did have to wash your hands...a lot!

You cant wear gloves ALL the time or you can develop dangerous allergies to latex.

  15. i dont know

  16. Gloves are not required by the health department.  The times that you see it often used is if the employee does multiple job functions and there is a chance their hands may be contaminated (so they don't have to wash as much).  A person working the register and handling food is an example.
