Not anymore. Recent studies have shown that there is no significant difference between the mortality rate of right-handed and left-handed people over a six year study.

In the olden days, however, most machinery and equipment was designed for use by right-dominant people, thus accidents involving left-handed people were inevitable to occur. Now, however, the world is a bit more accommodating to lefties.

Actually yes....its because everything is made for right handed people and their are more fatal accidents involving lefties. I actually learned that in college.
