  2. i've heard this before. ron under fuelled jack's car and he lost the GP by retiring at the last round.

    @Rosbif did he do it purposely so that rindt may win the race and/or c'ship???!!(and Brabham may lose..)

  4. Yes it is true. Ron Dennis was originally Jochen Rindt's mechanic at Cooper, and moved with him when he joined Brabham. When Rindt left for Lotus, Dennis stayed at Brabham and became Jack's mechanic for his final two seasons in F1, 1969 & 1970. As chief mechanic, Dennis was responsible for all aspects of preparation on Jack's car, including fuelling it.

    That was actually the second race that Jack Brabham gifted to Jochen Rindt in 1970, his last-corner accident at Monaco providing the first.
