  1. YES that is what the internet says

  2. I don't think so.

El Salvador is full of gang members and it is in fact, one of the poorest countries in latin America.

  3. Unless it's changed in the last five years....I would say no.  Guatemala city has a very large, impressive airport.

El Salvador is not full of gangs, it's like many Central America countries, the capital is very modern and beautiful and very shortly after leaving the capital there is a great dicotomy and the poverty is very apparent. it is however a beautiful country with lovely people who want to improve their lot in life.

  4. No its not, especially not in Central America. Panama and more recently Nicaragua have the most modern airports in Central America. Panama is recently underwent an expansion and Nicaragua's Augusto Sandino International Airport also just underwent a huge expansion program that finished in 2006. El Salvador's airport has to do something about their floors, they are hideous.

  5. nicaragua is not modern that is funny that country is dirt poor im surprised they even have an airport. go to answers.com wikipedia, cia world fact book el salvador has the most modern and largest malls airports in central america.

  6. Most of the airports in Central America are very similar, and I have not seen anything new at San Salvador that would suggest it is much better than the one in San Jose or Panama, even Guatemala, also Managua improved their airport. Honduras may be behind the rest of the countries, but Honduras is the only country in Central America with 4 international airports. I guess that is why they cannot improve their airports.

Regarding Latin America, for sure it cannot be close to Buenos Aires or Santiago, Rio, Sao Paolo, Bogota, Caracas, Santo Domingo, Puero Rico. So it is not as close to being 5th. Not even close.
