Is it true that Verizon bought Alltel?

Because Im looking at a family plan I can afford thats also reliable for two people. I was going to do Atnt, but now with that news, which one would be better?

Yes, Verizon is buying out Alltel, but there's no set date yet. i got my phone added 2 a family plan a lil over a month ago with a 2 yr warranty, so i can keep Alltel's service til my contract is up. i'm not sure if u can still get a decent contract with Alltel, tho. You'll have 2 ask.
