All things being equal. A Gorilla the same weight as a man would still be much stronger. The muscles in their arms (and other places I assume) attach to the bone farther down from the joint creating greater leverage. A blow from a 650 lbs Gorilla would likely kill a man.

I knew a guy who boxed a 100 lb. chimp.  They put padded gloves on both the feet and hands of the chimp.  The guy went 220 lbs easy, and the chimp beat him half to death, it took three trainers to pull the ape off the guy.  The funny part was the chimp was cool, it looked at the guy and waited, it was non-violent and friendly until the guy threw the first punch.  It was the only one he landed, and the chimp went off on him.  Without a doubt an adult gorilla would kill a human with ease.

I had a buddy, huge man, topped out over 300 and almost no body fat, great high school wrestler.  He boxed a bear once, and one swat from the bear laid him out, d**n near took his head off.  Most people consider exploitation of animals immoral, but if it's on the up and up, a human has little chance against most animals of comparble size.
