I have a 21 month old nephew that used to never be as playful with me as he has been lately. Is it true that a kid is more playful when someone is preggo or is it just a myth?

  1. It might be true.  Pregnant women pump out more hormones into the air than at other times.  Maybe the kids pick up on these "mommy" hormones and become friendlier and more playful because of it.  So its at least a possibility.

The only other thing I can think of is that he is curious about the pregnancy now.  Whereas before he may have been shy, the feeling of curiosity has now overcome that shyness and he is more willing to talk to you.  Finding out that you aren't so bad to talk to, he then became friendlier as he became more accustomed to you.
