I am a permanent resident in the United States.Is it true that Idon't need a visa for a short stay in Switzerland?What if Ijust want to visit France for a day or two?Will they ask me for a visa at the border when entering France?

  1. US Citizens do not need visa's to visit any country in the EU for a short time.


  2. Yes, it's true you don't need a visa for a stay up to 3 months in Switzerland (see link offered). As far as I know, France has a comparable practice - so it should not be any problem to visit France as well.

  3. as long as u have your passport you dont need a visa to travel for short times in europe.

  4. Three months for Switzerland, don't know about France.
