  1. I don't know, but from having a dog bitten by a "dead"

snake, I know don't mess with them to find out.

  2. chop its head oof and it wont matter if the sun is coming up

or going down it will be dead

  3. The first person is on the right road, snakes retain their reflexes to bite up to twelve hours after death.  That's usually more than enough time for the sun to set, which is probably where the story came from.  If you've got a dead snake, even a non-venomous one, the best way to ensure that it won't bite after it's died is to remove its head.

  4. Snakes do not die easily, they have a long life expectancy, far longer than us to compare. Plus, they have a remarkable ability to survive physical damage. I guess this is the reason for the myth. Actually, sunset has no effect on a snake's survival chances.

  5. No, that is not true.

  6. None of that is true a snake has a very simple Ancient nervous system that can function long after the snake is dead and gone... And the nerve system is what people see reacting in certain situation....  But it is not that dead snake that is creating that situation.................

  7. No.  There's lots of snakes where I live and I've seen plenty die while the sun was shining.
