So, available evidence suggests that they might actually increase the effectiveness of the OMCLs.

Absolutely that is 100% true, although you should always make sure you wear one that is double thickness if you live/work near a mobile phone tower!

The government may, by now, have figured out a solution to the tinfoil hat jamming. However, even if they can read the thoughts, these thoughts come out scrambled so that they make no sense at all. I think you are ok, for now.
