  1. It's very doubtful. I'm in theatre, and for the most part you do have to do a lot of work, but there will be times when the director will be working with someone(s) else. There's always lunch/dinner, too. And sometimes you will be playing a big part and you will have to work A LOT, but they won't be unreasonable about it.

  2. It depends on whether you're talking about actors in Theatre or Film/TV actors.

You often hear that acting in Film and TV is a 'Hurry Up and Wait' situation, you film what you need to film, then you wait until they're ready for you again. But it could also depend on whether you were a Principal (Lead) or Background (Extra) performer.

In theater, you may not have days as long, but it probably takes more of a toll on your body because everything comes from the actors themselves, not from editing or microphones (unless your lucky enough to perform for that large of an audience)

  3. Not true at all. Like haf that time is on their knees in producers office.

  4. No. Sometimes that may be true during some scenes in a movie, but it is seldom true. Many times their day is at least 12 hours long, though. It all depends on the shoot or production.

  5. What, like they can never sit down? No, that's not true. They can rest for a couple minutes between takes, and it's not like they don't have lunch breaks, etc. They get to rest some.

  6. I know I bartend and I am on my feet 9 hours a day or more...actors humm they have trailers and lunch breaks..good question though

  7. I would assume so. I'm doing a theater camp, and even as kids, we have to be up almost all the time.

  8. Yes. If they keep themselves busy. Now this is his entire day..acting and regular activites...

    8am wake up

    9am-1050am classes

    1100am-230pm work(family restaurant)

    3pm-5pm rehearsal for show #1

    7:00pm-10pm rehearsal for show #2

    1opm-whenever homework

it all depends on how busy you keep yourself
