Is it true that after Kosovo Independence there was a HUGE American Military base that was built that stretches for miles?

After the Independence of Kosovo, there was a very large top secret military base built in Kosovo that stretched for miles. Is this true?

It's called Camp Bondsteel. It's large and doesn't stretch for miles. And it isn't a secret.  It's the headquarters of KFOR, the NATO command in Kosovo.
