In my country, most of cars driving a urban street are

automatics.

I've heard that in Western countries most people use stick shifts

and automatics are for people with special needs.

But this is a little bit hard to believe.

Is it true ????

Anyway, thanks.

  1. depends on the need....

  2. No its not true, this is just a tradition in Europe to use stick shifts. Automatic cars are much more common in America

  3. Nearly everyone I know drives an automatic. I drive a stick shift, but I bought my car used because I got a good deal on it, not because I like a manual transmission. The gas mileage is slightly better but not nearly enough to make me feel any better when my left foot's completely numb after an hour in stop-and-go traffic. I think it depends a lot on where you live - if you're on freeways and in traffic an automatic makes more sense.

I'd say that as many people drive automatics as manuals in Western countries. Anyone else?

  4. In the United States, virtually all cars are automatic. I know it's a messed up country, but not all people have special needs!

In Britain, where I live, the vast majority of cars are manual, although my family drive automatics.

  5. because were all lazy c**ts

  6. It depends on the country. In Germany most cars are manual, whereas where I'm from originally in California most cars are automatic.

  7. no that's not true..mostly everyone I know has an automatic..a lot of people have trouble using the stick shift
