  1. it is really up to you to decide the difficulty, not one instrument is easier than another

  2. No.

Just because it typically has four or five strings doesn't make it any easier to play.

The fretboard is longer, you need a bigger handspan, the strings are much thicker, you have to focus on beat, and if you want to get into slapping and popping and groove, it definitely isn't an easy feat.

And if you opt for it, it's harder to pick on a bass than it is on a guitar.

  3. bass is not easier just because there's less strings. that's like saying a motorcycle is easier to drive than a car cuz it has less wheels.

they make bass guitars with 5 and 6 strings....

here's joe satriani (guitarist) and Dave Larue (bassist)

bass can be just as hard. just depends how far you want to take it.

  4. Basses typically only have 4 strings and play less complicated parts (no chords, fewer notes).  On the other hand, the strings are thicker and can be more difficult to play.  But it all depends on the person and the music being played.

  5. yeah cause in a way when you're playing bass you wont really need to learn how to strum and put chords which what beginners at the start have a hard time at and when you're playing bass you'd only need to press the string with one or two fingers unlike in guitars its chords although playing bass could also be hard cause the strings are a lot thicker and you'd need to press harder to get a good clean sound.

  6. yes, less strings...

this is perfect, sounds great, easy to play, and inexpensive
