  1. I hadn't heard this, but I doubt Cedar Point could sue even if they wanted to, because I don't think CP owns the rights to the design for Top Thrill Dragster.  The company that designed Top Thrill Dragster probably owns the rights & therefore can reproduce that design in any park that is willing to pay the big bucks for it.

  2. I would sue them in a second!

  3. Both Top Thrill Dragster and Kingda Ka were made by the same company, Intamin AG.

I doubt any lawsuits will be filed, and records are made to be broken. If I were to speculate on anything, it would be that Intamin may have agreed to let Cedar Point have the worlds tallest coaster for a couple of years before "topping" them.

... and the two parks are far enough apart so as not to be direct competition.

Arms down, head back, and enjoy your ride!

    peace

    .

  4. i dont think so since alot of companies build the same rides with different names for different parks.

  5. Since Top Thril Dragster and Kingda Ka is made by the same roller coaster company, Intamin, thay can't sue. Six Flags Great Adventure bought the desighn from Intamin fairly, as Cedar Point did with Top Thrill Dragster.*
