Is it true that chips and chocolate dont make you have more pimples?

i read this in a magazine and i thought it would be true just wanted t check with you guys, so do you think it is true that when you eat chips or cocolte you dont get more pimples than normally?

  1. No. That is a myth. Chocolate and chips do not cause acne, and unless the oil from the chips are applied to the face...you will not break out from a potato chip.

    Actually, chocolate is HEALTHY for skin. Many people are now using chocolate facials as a way to behoove the condition of their skin.  


  2. lol I'm still laughing from this question.. what magazine is it from? i wish it were true but i eat chips and chocolate all the time (im not a large person either btw i play heaps of sports) but i still get breakouts. i dont have heaps of pimples just blemishes. just see what other people say because it will be interesting what other people write xD

  3. Well It isn't the chips or chocolate that will give you pimples its the things in them that make some people get pimples.

    Unhealthy, fatty food of course wont be good for your skin though so its is better to stick to fresh, healthy nutritious foods.

  4. My personal experience says that chocolate does make me have more pimples. I used to be addicted to chocolate milk, and I used to have bad body/face acne. As soon as I stopped drinking it completely the acne went down and eventually disappeared. A few years later I got into the habbit of drinking chocolate milk a lot again, and the acne picked up again. I realized the link, stoped drinking it and the acne went away.  

  5. Chocolate may have some effect on your skin. I'm not sure?  But Chocolates have benefits too...BUT don't eat to much!

  6. no, chips and chocolate do give you pimples, the oil that is in the foods secrete when you eat them , and most of that oil goes to your skin, causing pimples and zits

Pimples are caused by oils in the pores, they can be associated with chips and greasy foods because most people are unconscious, and will put the oils from their hands on the skin from time to time.  Pimples are aggravated by hormonal surges and and stress, and can take up to 2 weeks to raise to the surface.  Acne is also a hereditary thing.  When you combine, oils, stress, hormones, and DNA, there seems to be nothing you can do, but drinking lots of water, washing your face both in the morning and at night, and try to keep from touching your face and you can probably keep everything under control.  

  9. Dark chocolate is fine for your skin as long as you don't binge on it, however eating milk chocolate it's quite bad for your skin. Chips from the chippy are awful for your skin!
