Yes, actually, it is true. There are many toys made from the woven material made to make chinese finger traps. You can find a ton here; http://www.birdtricks.com/parrot-toys (scroll towards the bottom to see pics) and they are really good play toys for your birds because they are made from natural materials (as long as they dyed with veggie dye like on the website provided)

First of all, on youtube many bird people often don't have a clue what they are doing with or to their birds.

Secondly, I have no idea what a Chinese Finger Trap is!

I have kept Exotic birds over thirty years and not heard of this, so for the birds sake I would not consider letting my bird chew on this or anything else I wasn't 100% certain would not harm them.

Every bird is different. They have personalities just like people.
