Is it true that copperhead snakes are attracted to noise?

we were camping, and my husband told me his father told him that. i said it sounded like something dads tell kids to scare them. lol. so which is it? are copperhead snakes (or any for that matter) attracted to noise, rather than scared by it?

  1. Snakes dont hear that good...they are attracked to vibration...like  foot steps...they can also smell really good to


  2. No. They can't hear. Snakes don't have ears. And they use smell to find food, not vibrations. I have studied copperheads and haven't found vibrations to do anything but scare them away.
