  1. Mitchondria DNA (mtDNA) is passed on from women and research shows the origin coming from East Africa.

  2. Bravozulu is right.  I would add that apes also evolved in Eurasia.  The Miocene was a time when Earth was a planet of the Apes, in that there were numerous species that were evolving and mostly in Eurasia.  The ape ancestors probably migrated from Africa.  Our probable ancestor was later  in Eurasia as well and probably migrated to Africa.

  3. thats what i learned in my  s.s. class(even though my teacher is strange, he probably no's what he's takin about)

  4. Is it true that stupid lazy people use "da" instead of "the?"

  5. The evidence is not 100% certain but our closest relatives live in Africa.  Much of the evidence of the earliest ancestors of humans over 2 million years old is from Africa but that could be an accident of geology of fossil formation and erosion rather than an actual reflection of reality.  We know hominids lived in Asia almost 2 million years ago so they were evolving in Asia and probably Europe during that time also.  It seems very likely since Neanderthal is closely related and occupied the north that all modern humans descended from a group that left Africa in the last 100,000 years.  There is nothing special about Africa as far as evolution goes except that it was more free from the effects of the periodic Ice Ages that the world has been through for the last few million years.  It was however most likely the home of the majority if not the vast majority of our ancestors.

  6. The first living creatures developed in the ocean, there's no telling where the first animals started going up on land but you were right about the humans, our ancestors did develop in africa.

  7. Jim Z and Bravozulu are right,

    Humans need not fight,

    We are all very tight,

    Same in might,

    Tonight.

We all followed the same path,

    just do the DNA math,

    First stone craft then

    swift raft.

    All around the map,

    like flowing sap,

    humans now rap,

    OOA hap.

  8. You may NOT use "da" to replace "the." It is STUPID. It is annoying. It gives us the visual of you slobbering and drooling, hunched over your keyboard. Do you actually want to portray yourself as a hunchback moron?

    Do you understand?

  9. Seriously, would you please consider using the word "the" instead of "da"?

There are a lot of problems in the world that need to be solved, and it's going to more difficult to solve them if it gets harder to understand what we are even saying to one another.

    To answer your questions:

Yes, it is believed that homo sapiens had its origins in Africa.

No, the first living "creature" probably originated in the ocean (as someone has already stated), or in some body of water.  It is thought that the very first organism capable of replicating itself (a definition of life) came from nucleotides made up of amino acids; they are said to be the precursors to RNA, and later, DNA.

    Don't forget  them on Father's Day  :)
