  1. scientific evidence suggests, through evolution, that simple life forms became advanced life forms, and, based on fossils and other discoveries, at one point in a previous era, dinosaurs were the dominant life form of earth. i believe in evolution personally, so yes, dinosaurs once populated the earth. where else could those huge fossil skeletons come from? its not like humans made them and buried them, thats stupid.

  2. The answer to your question is NO. Humans and dinosaurs existed at the same time. There is evidence in more than one place including the USA and Russia where human footprints and prints of Dinosaurs appear in the same sedimentary deposit (Mud).

Try searching for Dinosaur and human foot prints and see what you find. Evolution theorists do not like the evidence and attempts have been made to destroy these rock formations however more have been uncovered. Check it out for yourself then ask your teacher to explain how human foot prints can appear along with those of dinosaurs in formations that are supposedly 225 million years old?

  3. Yes, Dinosaurs populated the Earth before humans. In fact, Dinosaurs still populate the earth in the form of Birds. The first Dinosaurs appeared about 230 Million years ago, while humans have been around for a couple hundred thousand years.

  4. Yes, dinosaurs existed up until about 65 million years ago.  Scientists know this because their bones have been found, and the youngest (i.e., highest) rocks in which those bones were found are about 65 million years old.  (Rocks can be dated by measuring the amount of radioactive elements in them that slowly break down since the formation of the earth.)

A mass extinction event happened about 65 million years ago that caused dinosaurs to go extinct.  This was most likely a climate catastrophe that occurred when a meteor hit the earth.  Scientists believe this because the youngest layer of rocks that contain dinosaur fossils are covered by a thin layer that contains very high levels of an element called iridium.  Iridium is very uncommon on earth, but very commonly found in meteorites.

Humans, in contrast, have only been around since about 100,000 years ago.
