    you can get divorced if you want to.

  4. They have a lot of Catholic people there and the church frowns on it but is is allowed.

  5. it wasnt allowed until 1998 when an amendment was made to the constitution.it previously wasnt allowed due to the influence of the catholic church.in the same referendum the territorial clame on northern ireland was removed

  10. up to 20 years or so ago, you could not get a divorce. But we had a regferendum, and now you can.

  11. divorce became totally legal here in 1995

    you could get separted though before that
