Is it true that dyeing your hair platinum blonde makes a lot of your hair fall out?

I've been thinking of dyeing my hair a white-blonde color, but I once heard that doing that makes a lot of your hair fall out. Is this true?

Only if you bleach your hair at the same spot for a few

times will it begin to fall out.

Since bleach dries out your hair, try using conditioner ALOT

so it gives back moisture into your hair.

Silk moisturizer is also good too, but don't use this too much...

only a few times a month.

Well I don't know about when you specifically color your hair platinum, but I have heard that if you constantly color your hair and don't follow up with moisturizing treatments, it can cause hair loss.  Once in a while should be fine though.  I would only be worried if it is something you do all the time.

It will not make your hair fall out.

However, because of the bleaching or dying process will dry out the hair, it may become brittle and fall off. The longer you leave in the bleach, the more it will damage the hair. Therefor, the darker your hair is, the longer it will take to bleach it to platinum blonde, and the more damage it will cause the hair. If  you have black or dark brown hair and dye it, it will be almost impossible to make it platinum blonde without breakage. If you have light brown or red hair it will take a bit of work but it should not be that hard. If you have dirty or golden blonde, it will be easy!

Whatever you do, make sure to condition well a week before the bleaching and continuously on the bleached hair, to help prevent breakage. Try deep conditioning too, thats really good for processed hair. Also, try not to straighten, curl, or blow dry your hair for two weeks after bleaching if you had dark hair, and a few days if you had darker blonde hair. Good luck!

No. But it does make your hair very coarse and dry depending on how healthy your hair is before you color it. I once put in platinum all over to lighten my blonde and it didn't fall out-my hair just wasn't too healthy to start out with since I had colored many times before, but it just made my hair coarse and dryer...but I started to use hydrating shampoo and conditioner and that really helped.
