  1. No. There are some that grow large , but none that grow to the size of an adult anaconda.

  2. No, of course not.

There are worms that can be several meter in length, but they are rather slim, and those long worms are marine animals, not earth worms.

Worms breathe through their skin; there is a limit to how thick they can be for the oxygen to diffuse properly and in enough quantity for them to survive, hence they cannot be very wide.

  3. The largest species of earthworm is the Gippsland earthworm from Australia and it has an average length of 80 cm  and average diameter of 2 cm, although they can reach over 10 ft in length. The largest anacondas can grow over 30 ft long that's  over 3 times longer than the largest earthworm. Anacondas have 30 times the girth of the gippsland. The volume comparison would make the biggest anaconda  = 4320 times the volume of the largest Gippsland earthworm.

On top of that the largest anacondas are upto 700 lbs compared to a 1 lbs gippsland earthworm making them 700 times heavier. Multiply 700 with 4320 and you get 3024000. The added equation makes the largest anaconda 3,024,000 times larger then the largest earthworm.

So apparently the anaconda is 3 million times larger in terms of total size.

    Answer: No way.

So there's no way that an earthworm can be as big as an anaconda.

  4. Yeah, although this large earthworm is a special type. Known as the Giant Gippsland earthworm, it can grow up to sizes around 4 meters in length. More facts can be found here:

The largest worm ever found was 22 meters long and was found in South Africa.

  5. Earthworm size varies by species. The largest species is the Gippsland earthworm from Australia and it has an average length of 80 cm (31.5") and average diameter of 2 cm (¾"). Surprisingly they CAN reach 3m (118") or over 10'. The largest anacondas can grow over 30' long that's still over 3 times longer than your largest Gippsland earthworm I'm aware of.  Apart from length the largest anaconda has at least 12 times more girth than the largest Gippsland earthworm.  The volume comparison would make the biggest anaconda at least 12²*3 = 432 times the volume of the largest Gippsland earthworm.  That doesn't qualify as almost in my book.
