I'm not American but if you go to Paris, it's difficult not to feel a bit sad at being single as it's such a romantic city.

edit - Why don't you believe me?  I'm just giving my opinion!

I do actually have friends (and family) in Paris ... but that's not what you asked!

I'm going to go with "no." I've been to France a half-dozen times, have never dreamed of a "french affair" with a french lover.

No, I didn't.  But when my husband and I visited France, there was a French woman who apparently dreamed of an affair with a Native American.  (My husband is Choctaw) we were there with his work, she worked there also.   She emailed him for months....
