  1. Most of them don't assign a 13th floor in their buildings. It's actually a general practice among building planners and designers. Some actually believe that 13th is bad luck. But most (especially building owners) even if they don't believe in the superstition would also follow the practice for fear that no one would dare occupy a 13th floor. So most buildings have a 14th floor above the 12th floor. and skip the 13th.

  2. Whether they call it 13 or not, the floor directly above 12 is the 13th floor.

  3. TRUE

  4. Nope, it's not true. All high rise buildings have 13th floors, they're just not labeled as such. It's a silly superstition.

  5. in old building yes because it was 'unlucky' and it was when they believed in witches and such. its really about superstition. they do it now, actually, for some building, because they are afraid of it affecting sales of superstitious people. or have triskaidekaphobia.

  6. Some do some dont, mainly the US, China, and Japan do this, alot of hotels dont have a 13th room either.
