No, it is not true.

One judge misinterpreted a law.  It was quickly overturned.  Homeschooling is as legal in California as it has ever been.  You do NOT need to have a teacher's license to homeschool your children there.

From what I have read, you can home school your kids if you have a teaching certificate and other proper credentials.  If the person does not have this then the person is not supposed to be teaching in California.  Most people teaching home schooling do not have the proper credentials.

No, it's not.  One appellate court judge made a faulty ruling several months ago that the governor and state superintendent both swore to overturn.  It's been remanded back to the original court and has absolutely no effect on homeschooling in CA.

It's just as legal as it's ever been.  There is an *option* to homeschool under the instruction of a certified teacher, but it's just that - an option.  There are others, and they're completely legal.
