  1. Do you watch many Movies from the 1930's ?

  2. Cost you 20 bucks to find out.

  3. Just ask for the best room available or how much to upgrade as its a special occasion and hope they give you an upgrade.  Other than that check out web sites that tell you where the nicest rooms are ask for a room in b tower or overlooking the pool etc.

  4. hello - depends on the hotel, time of year and convention schedule.  id be prepared with more money, and start high, if you start low they may not help you at all.  good luck

  5. If there is an available upgrade sometimes they will give it to you, otherwise they will decline or let you know what it will cost to upgrade the room.  You can get a cheap rate on a Las Vegas Hotel at http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/

    Have fun!

  6. no.....

  7. Thats the old Vegas..

The new vegas, like most of America, is filled with too many rules. 20$ isnt worth the risk of getting fired. Plus, hotels give bonuses to clerks who sell from desk upgrades anyway.

  8. False.  You don't get an upgrade tipping someone.

  9. Or you could simply ask.  I got a free upgrade just by asking.

  10. Regardless of what anyone on this thread says you can get an upgrade for  tip I have bene upgraded for a $20 tip at many casinos including Wynn, Luxor, Excalibur, PH, IP and many others, depending on the hotel the length of stay and day of the week depends on how much you need to tip. I have never tipped more than $50 and I have always had my money offered back if they cant help me but I let them keep it anyway.

OH one thing it will not work at MGM Grand

  11. NO! the amount they are paid, twenty bucks is nothing! more near 100 bucks would probably sweeten them up a LITTLE

  12. It would be better when booking say its your anniversary or honeymoon or even at check in and ask if there is anything they can do it make it special, they will typically upgrade your room or at least send champagne and give you dinner vouchers to their top restaurant.

  13. Why would you want to treat a desk clerk like a twenty dollar hooker?

The best way to get an upgrade is simply to ask. Do so politely. And don't do it wearing dirty jeans and a tank top. Dress like you have money, even if you don't. Politely ask if there are any available upgrades. If you go mid week, they might do it for you. I've had New York New York offer me a $100.00 upgrade for $25.00 additional per night. The Flamingo upgraded me for free. The Nugget in Reno once upgraded me to a 1200 square foot room.

And, if they do upgrade you, then offer the $20.00 as a tip, and not as a bribe. They will most likely refuse it, but people do like to be offered tips, they seldom like to be offered bribes.

  14. I think you're gonna have to up the anti.

  15. Basically what Jenna said. Or, if you're a gambler, get a player's club card and use it everytime you play. Check with the player's club booth if you can get an upgrade comped for your play.

    E

  16. I've heard that some hotels may do this if they are not too busy.  But in Vegas $20 won't get you very far.  Try $100.
