My Fiance just told me that when he was young(19) he hit his ex- girlfreind, and went to jail. that was bout 10 yrs ago. It surprised me! Cause lord knows I p**s him off! I am not one to take **** from no one.He has never even cursed at me, let alone put hands on me...is it possible that he learned/changed?

  1. It's very possible that he changed. If it wasn't, that really wouldn't be fair for anyone who's went to rehab or church or had any life changing experience. You'll know if you need to get out of it, you sound like you've got a good head on your shoulders. It's possible that he hasn't changed, but its also very possible that he has. You know what your limits are. Don't go let him go over those limits.

  2. Possible. That is something you need to work out between him, especially before you get married.

If he told you about it now, chances are he is probably changed.

But from my own experience, my dad used to do that kind of thing to my mother. He never changed. I suppose it depends on the individual.

Good luck with your marriage! : )

  3. Yes I believe it's possible if the person wants to change. This rule applies to anything, ex: A drug addict, alcoholic, abuser etc.

  4. The odds are not good.  But if the Lord is on your side and...

Well,  all I can say is that with all of my MANY years of experience - None of mine changed.

BUT I will pray for you both that it has :)
