  1. Years ago, this was up for debate.  But then they invented the tape recorder, which revealed that an unseen tree falling in the woods makes a sound.

  2. Of course it won't.

  3. how  small to think that you have to have a person present to hear sound being made. now if the tree is falling down during a tornado , the sound of the tornado would eliminate the sound of the tree falling and anyone around to hear it.  so this would leave no sound from the tree.  or report of sound from the person there to hear the tree falling.  in this situation the sound is not there.

  4. No it's not true. Scientifically speaking, everything makes a sound!  Even consider being in the forrest, watching the tree fall.  Did it make a sound? It's not logical to think when your with the tree it makes a sound and when your not it doesn't.

Figuratively though, if no one was there to witness it fall, then it never happened, therefore no sound was made.

  5. No it will make a sound.

  6. No of caurse it will make a sound if it falls

  7. of course it will make a sound just no one can hear it because theyre to far away

  8. where on earth u hear this?

  9. It makes a sound...sheesh.
