marrying an American citizen that is in the armed forces makes the citizenship process go faster vs marrying a regular American that is not in the armed forces???

  3. I'm in the Armed Forces. I'm going through a K-1 visa as we speak.  It does NOT go faster, no special handouts either.

    If he is in your country, try to get American citizenship in your country, if he is in America, he has do to the paperwork, and it takes a long long long time, I'm going on 8 months now for a regular fiance visa. The USCIS consulates are very busy this time of year

  4. I think that it is, I spent a lot of time in Germany and the process seemed to go rather fast for GI's Marrying Germans, of course they are probably other considerations.

  5. I know that if you marry someone who is in the Army they seam to have the process streamlined. You are not exempt from any of the process but it does seam to go faster.

  6. No marriage as a quick path was eliminated several years ago.

  7. It is not true, but I agree the process should be faster for military personnel.
