  1. that's what they told me, but they told me wrong.

  2. I Have AT&T Also...

Even If You Don't Open The Text You Still Get Charged Because YOU GOT A TEXT MESSAGE...Unless It Is One Of Those Free Texts From AT&T...

    Hope This Helps...Sorry If I Sound...I Don't Know...

  3. Any text delivered to your phone is chargeable.

  4. Not with at&t if you receive it you are charged.

  5. Nope...once the little text message hits your inbox..bam your hit with charges.  You can cut off your text messaging all together, but that's the way of communicating these days.  Good luck, usually providers have min text plans where you won't have to pay them.

  6. No way. Text messaging is actually a huge income for cellular companies. Especially those without texting plans. They're not gonna not charge you just cuzz you didnt open the message.

I even tried leaving my phone off for a whole day so I woudlnt receive any texts (i had already went way over my texting limit for the month) but they still charged me for all of them -_- haha
