Is it true that if you go horseback riding for a while it breaks your hymen?

When I had s*x for the first time it was not as painful as I was expecting. I talked to my friend about it, who had told me her first time was really bad, and said it was probably because I have been horseback riding most of my life. Could this be true?

  1. it happened to someone i know.

  2. It is possible. Mine broke when I was in P.E. at school and for some girls that haven't broken it before their first time it doesn't even hurt or bother them at all.

  3. Yes, this is very true :)

Some women find that their hymen breaks due to strenuous exercise.

    E.g. Horseback riding, gymnastics etc.

If you found your first time to be not so painful, your hymen was probably already broken.

  4. Rare.

Many activities, like gymnastics, masturbation, etc, can stretch or tear the hymen, if you even had one. Some females are born without one.

Not all females experience pain during their first intercourse.

  5. Yes, it's possible that horse back riding could have broken your hymen. But s*x is different for each women, even with an intact hymen it can hurt less for some women. There are other factors - size of the guy, relaxation/arousal of the woman, lubrication etc

  6. It can but so can doing PE, using tampons, riding a bike.

Everyone is different.  Broke mine trying to sit on a cake stand - I couldn't and it had corners on it.

    No big deal.

  7. It can happen but not always.

  8. Putting a finger in your v****a can break your hymen, which is the thin piece of skin that partially covers the vaginal opening. Historically and culturally, the hymen has been misunderstood to be an indicator of a woman's virginity.

In reality, a woman can break her hymen during many nonsexual activities (horseback riding, gymnastics, using a tampon,or even riding your bike. etc.) In fact, some women are even born without a hymen. Thus, the existence of the hymen is not synonymous with the state of one's virginity. (A woman can not be a virgin and still have an intact hymen or she could be a virgin without one).

Despite all this, the hymen is still used as an indicator of one's virginity in some parts of the world... if this is the case where you live, it is an important fact to consider when deciding whether or not to participate in this type of activity.

If you are truly concerned only about preserving your hymen, you may consider a different type of sexual contact such as clitoral stimulation (which will probably give you greater pleasure anyways).

  9. It can happen yes, however, I have been riding since I was 4 years old (when my dad brought me a pony) and it never broke my hymen. We are all different, but yes many different types of sports and horse riding can do this.
