Is it true that if you sleep longer, you will become much fool because your brain cells will be damaged?

    Brain cells are going to die no matter what

    However Sleep Apnea May Damage Brain Cells Associated With Memory... Sleep Apnea is a common sleep disorder linked to heavy snoring.

    So no, Brain cells do not get damaged.. Theres no study done that proves that anyway, Its more the opposite i think. However they do say too much sleep can lead to restless nights and this is quite damaging and thats because you DONT get much sleep the following night.

    BUT sleep does cause other problems but not too brain cells, like people who sleep more are more likely to get a stroke etc... but not anything to do with brain cells

  3. Scientific studies say people who sleep longer than 7.5 hours a night, die earlier. Don't know if that has anything to do with brain cells
