Is it true that if you win the lottery you can't keep it a secret?

I heard that it's public knowledge. Is this true? If I won I'd want to remain anonymous.

"The holder of this ticket agrees to participate in interviews with Lottery public relations personnel and the media and grant permission to use his/her name photograph"

so yeah my wife would find out :}

Im pretty sure it is public knowledge. Otherwise you could hide it and not pay taxes on it.

If you win it in Delaware, it is sealed. It is not public records. Other than that, all the other states will record your name and address and winnings as a matter of public records.
