  1. I don't know about the deposit, but while traveling in OZ I saw very little litter.

  2. compared to some so-called sophisticated countries, particularly in Europe, Australia is a pretty clean place and recycling is everywhere.  you obviously haven't been here, so I guess we can excuse your ignorance.

  3. Why would they be tossed everywhere, exactly?  Are you presuming that people in Australia aren't taught to pick up after themselves?

I live in a part of the U.S. where we don't have deposits on cans or bottles. . . we got rid of that 10 or so years ago. . . and they're usually in the trash or recycling here, too.  People aren't inherently messy so much so that they always need monetary rewards to make sure at least *someone* is picking up all the trash on the streets.

  4. No it's not true. In South Australia you get a deposit. But Australia is clean anyway!!!

  5. It's not just Oz.It's the same in European countries 'cept we're tidy.

  6. What???  You have to be kidding! (Well actually you're not about the deposit, unless you live in South Oz, in which case there's a 5cent dep), but, why don't you have another can yourself!

  7. they sure are litter bugs ain't they..

imagine all that dog p**p.... smelly, specially when it rains

  8. get a life sicco
