Since power production in various States of India are not adequate to meet the requirements, there are load shedding, power cut etc. in many places of India.

yes , mostly in villages and small towns  ; they are more during summer . :-p

Power cuts are quite frequent in parts of Goa, and in Varanassi they also have shortages. Have never had any issues in other parts of India, however most large businesses... have back uup generators, as indeed do many homes
