Is it true that in italy a tourist has to go at night or in the non- tourist spots to see native italians..?

because when i went to florence and rome there we a lot of tourists during the day

  1. Yes, that is true!  I've been living in Italy 8 years and I live in a non-touristic city.  I picked it because I figured, "If I want to live in Italy I better pick a city with Italians instead of living in Little USA".  LOL.


  2. Italian work... they really do and that's why you don't see many locals during the day. If you are in Rome or Florence the locals are in offices, work shops, driving trains, etc.... You'll find housewives, retired folk, HS students (during the summer months or usually after 2pm during the school year, delivery people and so on in small and large towns during the (work) days.

  3. yes i true, if you walk around the spanish steps t 3 pm on a monday, 95% of the people around are tourist: becouse people finish work at 6 or 7 pm, and after they don't go visit the colosseo....
