I think that is stupid. It should be my choice if I want to recycle or not.

  1. There is a place in Williston Vt called ALLCYCLE.

You can recycle and take your trash for less cost.

But!! If they open your bag of trash which they do

and find anything recyclable they will give you a

warning to start. However if you come back again

they will give you a ticket for non-compliance.

Believe it or not. But don't let that stop your effort

to recycle, remember its important to take that first step.

  2. I understand about the choice option, but I think requiring people to recycle is needed to fix this problem that we have gotten ourselves into. I wish I lived somewhere where people were required to recycle.

  3. recycling is not the perfect word for that question maybe littering is the right word. because i heard a story that there is an congressman who litter the remains of the cigarette then later in his hotel he got a fine for littering. even he is a congressman

  4. Yes, some cities and municipalities do technically fine you if you don't recycle.   However, enforcment is very spotty at best because it's too costly to have someone on the government payroll digging through garbage to make sure you're recyclling.  It's basically one of those things that is illegal, but you'll never really get punished if you don't do it.
