Is it true that in the Korean culture the women are expected to be submissive to their men?

I hear that sometimes the women are treated so rough by the women.

    P.S. I presume you meant women treated rough by men. women by women is a confusing question.

  3. It is traditional in most societies for women to be submissive to their husbands.  It is only very recently that this idea has been more or less abandoned in western countries, and it is still the norm in much of the world.  Why does this surprise you?

  4. Sadly, that is true of most of the cultures on earth to varying degrees. For a country in the far east the status of women in Korea may actually be somewhat better than its neighbors. If you were to ask Japanese women, for example, most would describe Korean women as very strong women.

  5. This is not true, as you can see by my avatar I'm North Korean, in the south however, I believe things are different.
