  1. No that is not true. The only 10 foot line rule is that if you are a backrow player you cannot jump in front of it in an attempt to put the ball over the net.

  2. There are two possible rules that you could be talking about.

If you are talking about tipping a ball that lands in front of the 10 foot line, you are talking about a common rule in doubles and triples.  It is no longer an official beach rule, but it is still a rule that is used in many local doubles and triples tournaments.

If you are talking about the player tipping the ball while they are in front of the 10 foot line, that is covered by the back row rules.  If the player is back row and they are on or in front of the 10 foot line, they may not send a ball over the net while the ball is completely above the height of the net.  That is an illegal back row attack.

  3. it depends on if u are in the front row or the back row the back row ya it will cost u the point but in the front row no if u touch the net they it will also cost u the point

  4. anyone in the front row can tip the ball.  but a back row player can't attack the ball... unfortunately that includes tipping.

  5. uhh yeah not true at all.  you can tip in front of the ten all you want.  it may be cheap and dirty and you should lose you points (my opinion) but its not illegal.  sorry to disappoint.
