  1. Denver city (not the mountain tops) has very warm, dry summers with hot days and pleasant nights. Average highs are usually in the 80s and lows in the upper 50s or low 60s. No, it does not snow in the summer. It is rare to even see it snow in May or September.

Even the Arctic islands of Northern Canada get some bare ground in July and August.

  2. People also ask this question about SLC (Salt Lake City, Utah).  However, Denver and SLC are both dry climates really.  Even during the winter months ... we (Denver and SLC) don't get as much snow as everyone expects.  Well, I can at least say that for here in SLC as I live here but I am sure it's the same as Denver.  SLC is a mid-latitude dry climate.  It's the mountains that really get a lot of snow.  Alta, Utah has received over 600" so far this winter.  Alta is only about a half hour drive from the SLC International Airport to give you an idea of it's location.  Don't get me wrong...both cities get a lot of snow but just not as much as the surrounding Rocky Mountains.

  3. at least it was about denver and not canada this time.........

  4. No place in the world snows all the time.

  5. Actually Denver has around 300 days of sunshine per year.  That is more than Miami or San Diego.  However it is not as warm.  At that elevation it is possible to get snow in summer, and some of the mountain peaks hold pockets of it year round.

But no, it does not snow all day and all night all year long.

Summers are quite nice.  The mile high city seems to sit in a bowl compared to the 14Kft Mountains around it.  There are people who make a point of hiking to the peaks each year.
