  1. I have never heard about this. What I do know is that information is organized in the brain the moment you try to learn something new. In order for you to make sense of what has to be done, your brain links to previous data which is already stored. Studying helps by making the connections faster. Since tests are time-bound, this faster connection is a great advantage.


  2. by the time you get to "the day before an exam" you should only need to review and focus on the parts that are more difficult for you. by the time the exam comes, you should have learned most of it.
