Is it true that ladybugs and grasshoppers are friends?

Kind of, ladybugs eat aphids and only aphids.  Too many aphids can decimate a plant, at least the green parts.  Grasshoppers also like the green parts, they eat them.  So the ladybugs help the green parts of the plant stay green then the grasshoppers eat their healthy fresh greens.

It is a one way relationship.  The ladybug helps the grasshopper, but the grasshopper doesn't help the ladybug.
