  1. Some

but before like 1995 like 90% of lipstick was made with wale blubber and there are so many nasty ingredients in our beauty products you would be suprised of!!!

just like food....people have no idea.....

  2. Fish scales used to be used pretty commonly for shimmery eye shadows and lipsticks.  These days mica is more common.  Red and pink lipsticks very likely have carmine in them, though (crushed cochineal beetles.)

  3. every time you put on lipstick..your basically kissing a fish

  4. Yup, fish skinz in like everaythang

  5. Yes!

  6. disgusting...... I hope not

  7. i heard it had whale blubber in it!

  8. 99% has fish by-product in it (99% scales)

  9. Yes, some does.  "Pearl Essence" is the substance that adds shimmer to lipsticks, nail polish, and other products.  It is routinely obtained from herring, and is a common by-product of large fisheries.

Look for vegan cosmetics.  Several brands at Whole Foods are tagged "No Animal Ingredients."

  10. Not all lipstick...just some. It's fish scales and I'm sure its not that much.

  11. Yea, most lipstick has fish scales in it.

There is some that doesnt, but most do.

  17. some fish SCALE yes! not all of them though

  18. Some lipsticks contain the pearlescence derived from fish scales.  Not the scales themselves.

  19. Some do, some don't. Here's a list of popular cruelty-free cosmetics companies.

Almay, Aveda, Avon, Bath & Body Works, Bobbi Brown, The Body Shop, Bonne Bell, Chanel, Clarins, Clinique , Crabtree & Evelyn, ELF, Estée Lauder, Flirt!, Hard Candy, Jane Cosmetics, Liz Claiborne, Lush, MAC, Manic Panic, mark., Mary Kay, OPI, Origins, Physicians Formula, Prescriptives, Prestige Cosmetics, Revlon, Smashbox, Stila, Too Faced, Urban Decay, and Victoria’s Secret
