they were growing up, and now they want to seek revenge on the traditional institutions of family and marriage and take away as many kids as possible from their parents, whether deserved or not?

  1. No, I don't think so. It is too much work to study to be a Social Worker and to stay with the job for that to be the motivation.

You're talking about victims of abuse, and fortunately, they don't fit any one pattern.  Even if you have been a victim, you can overcome it and give back in a positive way to society.

  2. That is completely false.  I and several of my friends work in this field.  Please know that the only reason anyone would do this job is because they want to help others.  Its definately not for revenge or the money.  A major misconception of the Social Worker is that they take kids from thier families.  That is only a small part of the profession. Most families are not separated and reunification is always the goal.  Also, it is very difficult to remove a child from thier family for any length of time.

  3. NO, my mom is a social worker because she loves helping families. And getting kids into safe environments. There may be social workers like but I know my mom isn't one of them.
