  1. Actually it has been coined the "Red Circle of Death", Microsoft has had this problem with a lot of the original 360's that came out and they are replacing them for free.

  2. Not necessarily. It would have to be broken beyond repair, and it cannot be broken by someone or something (physical damage). It would just have to quit by itself in order for the company to replace it for a brand new one (again, has to be beyond repair).

It might just be the Console - T.V. cord that's making it do that. Get a new one and see if that's the problem before sending it in for repairs.

  3. As long as the warranty has not been breached, you should be able to send in the Xbox 360 to Microsoft, and they will send him a new one, or fix the old one, but I don't know if they can fix that.

  4. I just had a friend at work tell me that when he went to turn on his 360, a red light came on.  He called the xbox company(microsoft?) and they told him to send it in and he would either get his fixed for free or sent a new one free of charge.  This happened about a week ago so he's still waiting for it.  So yeah, call whoever you have to call and you should get it taken care of.  Sorry my answer is so vague about the details, but I really did just have this conversation with him!  Good luck.
