  1. it's true ... in any case it should be stated in the insurance policy...

It's due to the density of the traffic and the number of streets leading  out of and onto the roundabout...

  2. Yes it is true.  Have you ever been there? It's a nightmare

  3. In the UK, insurers sometimes treat collisions on a "knock for knock" basis, meaning that if it's difficult to identify who is responsible for the collision, the two (or more) insurers agree to each pay out under the "accidental damage" section of their policy to their policy-holder and everyone loses their no-claims bonus. (Often drivers who were not at fault are forced to use their legal insurance to take action against the other driver(s) in order to establish fault and recover their no-claims status.)

I have heard that French motor insurance companies treat Place de l'Etoile (where l'Arc du Triomphe is) in the same way, but I don't know to what extent this is true. I don't know whether they'd be able to apply a "knock for knock" agreement with a foreign insurance company, if you're thinking of the case where a UK driver has an accident there, although it's worth remembering that a lot of the insurance companies operate in both countries.

  4. no, because if you have an insurance, it will be obliged to touch your claim, anyway the place you had an accident... the only problem wd be to find who is responsble of the accident...
