  1. Yes, even gold (it's in your name) has no particular inherent value.  It is only worth as much as other people would give you for it.

    Think about things you see sold on TV "worth over $85, now for 2 easy payments of on $19.99."  What's the real value of those items?  If you could find them for $85, would someone pay it?


  2. Nothing does have value, but my money tells me that a land fill will be a great place to make money. Your "valued item" will one day be made out of that same heap.
