Is it true that our yahoo account will be cancelled if we dont send an email to about 20 people?

I just received an email saying that yahoo needs to verify if account is active, hence i need to forward said email to about 20 people. If i did not send this to about 10 people my account will be cancelled.

  1. nope. That is not true. It's one of the many scams/ hoaxes that have  generaly the puropose of colecting email addresses to they cand send more spam to more people :))

    actually you can probably buy 150,000 email addresses with about 100$.

  2. Please do not believe all these scams that people try out, the email you received probably contains a virus or something.

    You can verify where the email came from by right clicking on properties and viewing the header.

    If you are not able to figure it out then post it to somewhere like www.spamcop.net  who will figure it out and even report it to the originating ISP if you require so.
