Is it true that people think New York Pizza is the best in the country never had a Deep Dish Chicago Pizza?

How can anyone that has taste possibly compare the two. Giordano's, Home Run inn, Connie's, BLOW away any NEW york garbage. Or any of the Pizza from the Windy City. The BEST according to whom?

I love them both but they are very different pizzas. I would say they are both great but would never consider them against eachother.

Chicago, along with the people, sucks *** compared to New Yorkers & their pizza.

Lombardi's in Little Italy has the oldest pizza oven in AMERICA for a reason. It's is KING!

I ate pizza from a place right next to ground zero and it was really good! Super hot and i burned my mouth too. It was the cheese and sauce that really made it good. I never had pizza across the world, but around here, NY pizza is great!

It's an apples and oranges comparison.  The two types are so different it's not a fair fight.  

To a few other's comments--UNO has been lousy for years, they used to be the best in Chicago and maybe the world, but they've stopped using hand-crushed tomatoes on the top and the sausage and crust are flavorless c**p.  They maybe an institution but they've gone so far downhill they're no longer in the running.  Lou Malnati's and MY PI, IMHO, far outshine the competition for "true" Chicago style.  Giordano's is good but the crusts usually come out too doughy (there's no crunch to them and the crust tastes bland.)  Also Giordano's only has stuffed, I think, not pan.  Stuffed is a different animal than the deep dish pan style Chicago pizza.

They're are different styles of pizza and I love both!

I'm from NY and in PA now and I think NY pizza (Roma's) is the best so far.

I love chicago pizza!  and people around chicago, like it and people around new york tend to like new york its the same with sports.

Chicago pizza is by far the best ecstasy experience ever.  I remember getting a pizza there the first time.  The deep dish was...well...really deep.  It had what we call "chokey cheese"  like the cheese that is so good it gets stuck in you're throat and can choke you.  Not too mention its so freakin good you eat so much you're stomach can explode.  

NY Pizza  <toilet flushing>  thats all I have to say about that.

I think that anyone who says another pizza is better than Chicago is out of their tree. Their taste buds MUST be altered in some way. The best pizza ever is UNOs downtown. Nothing compares to it and nothing compares to Chicago pizza. THE END!!!!!!
